We would like to take this opportunity to welcome
you to our practice.
We are situated in the heart of the ancient Roman town of Caerleon
in the beautiful and imposing old vicarage known as Cadoc House. Our
practice shares this facility with Isca Medical Centre.
The practice has been open since 1990 and
prides itself on excellent service and expertise in a very relaxed
atmosphere, smart surroundings and pleasant staff.
Your first appointment with us will be for us to find out about you,
and for you to find out more about us. This will involve some form
filling, after which you will meet your team and have a thorough examination.
This consultation includes oral cancer screening, gum health check
and full dental check-up with radiographs. From these diagnostic tools
a treatment plan will be formulated and discussed with you.
You will be given a dental menu which you can use to let
us know about any dental problems, anything you would really like
to improve, or maybe want to discuss with us - we have all attended
an appointment, and after leaving, remembered all the questions you
wanted to ask but didnt. The dental menu will give the dentist
a good idea of what you would like to achieve and provide a starting
point for your treatment.
After the examination is complete we can then make further appointments
in order to carry out any treatment you may require.
It is part of our policy at Isca Dental, that the first course of
treatment is on the NHS, if you so wish it, but there are certain
treatments which we do not provide on the NHS, such as dentures, preferring
to use top-quality materials and giving you an estimate of any work
before undertaking it.
After the first course of treatment you will be given the option to
either join Denplan or become a private patient of the practice.
The children of our regular patients are made very welcome at the
practice.
We open at 7.30am in order to offer flexibility to our patients -we
all lead busy lives! We will try to guarantee you an appointment for
emergency treatment on the same day, and for routine visits you can
normally be expected to be offered something in 2 - 4 weeks
time. This is a busy and thriving practice, and if you want appointments
at key times it is best to book ahead to avoid disappointment.
